Alexandra Hadley

Director/Film Actor

"You have to be memorable if you want people to be thinking about it thirty seconds after it happens. I don't think it matters, the reaction, as long as they're reacting."

This quote by film director Darren Aronofsky epitomizes my objective as an artist, a storyteller, and a member of my generation. Whether I'm on a stage, behind a lens, deeply engrossed by a book, or standing side by side among the youth of today, as long as I am reacting - it means that I am awake and actively processing life as it is in front of me. And that's exactly what I hope to capture through my characters' stories.

My name is Ali Hadley and I hail all of the way from Kansas City, reared by my very own family of filmmakers. I came to Chicago ready to discover and immediately found a colorful city, rich with artists all fully committed, passionate, and fearless. Inspired daily by the real and sometimes ugly personalities and circumstances of people in and out of my life, I aspire to use my growing interpretation of humanity to help me tell stories that speak truth, instigate change, and, of course, wake people up.
