Melena Nicholson

Melena is scheduled to graduate May, 2013 with a BA in Photography and a minor in Environmental Studies. Currently she is also a mentor for the non-profit organization Jewels Inc. and documenting her work there. As a mentor she is guiding middle school aged, urban girls to becoming successful women entrepreneurs.

Melena loves the outdoors and working on long term projects with her subjects. The photography classes that she excelled in at Columbia College Chicago have been Photojournalism with John H. White, Professional Printing with Karen Glaser, and Documentary Methods with Steve Liss. Her favorite camera to use is a View Camera.
