Tara Southard

Originally from Buffalo, NY, Tara Grace Southard is a recent graduate from Columbia College of Chicago. She majored in Theatre Performance with a minor in Management. Her mission is to inspire, entertain, and provoke emotion from people from all walks of life through honest acting and improvisation. Tara Grace has adopted Lakeview as her new home, residing near Clark & Halsted. She realized her affection for the theatre at a young age and became the coolest drama club nerd in high school. She has since been in several theatre and film productions at Columbia College and is actively pursuing more this year. She is currently taking level 4B classes at the Improv Olympics in Wrigleyville, and has studied at The Second City through Comedy Studies in spring of 2011. She plans to establish herself in the Chicago theatre community when she graduates and continue to let life unfold. In the distant future she sees herself managing her own venue that integrates theatre, comedy, and music.
Outside of the theatre world, Tara Grace enjoys cooking, playing the piano, snowboarding, jewelry making, and bike riding. Amongst other activities, she also has a part-time job as a waitress at Stanley's Kitchen and Tap and has managed to graduate Columbia College with honors. Please see Resume in "Portfolio Work."
