Lindsey Meyer

Fashion Illustration & Design

Lindsey Kate Meyer has had experience dealing with bridal and formal wear fashions, retail and alteration customers, models, photographers, and completing tasks for short deadlines. She has worked as a fashion illustrator for new businesses, popular online outlets, designers, and others. She also works with creating Couture accessories for fashion and hair shows, logo design, and makeup. Graduating as Valedictorian of her major in Fashion Design with a minor in Art History, is an example of how dedicated and hardworking she is. Lindsey is proficient in concept design, any illustration media, construction, fit, color theory, fabrics, as well as current and past trends-and has had her work recognized in multiple design competitions. These recognitions include having two pieces chosen for the top ten of the Charles James competition and placed in windows on South Michigan Ave, she was a finalist for the Eveningwear category of the Chicago FGI competition, and was chosen to represent the college in the Fashion Columbia fashion show. Lindsey uses this knowledge of design and construction to create her fashion, beauty, and fabric illustrations.

Her career goals are to create illustrations based on any need, including creative design, concept work, interpretation of designers' ideas, historic recreation, costume themes, personalized special occasion illustrations, editorial, and advertising purposes. Through her illustrations Lindsey tries to convey a unique mood suitable to the designs that both interests and excites the viewer. Within the realm of design she finds it important to make beautiful and body flattering pieces that are well suited for women looking to stand out, make an entrance, and be unique. Although Lindsey finds joy in creating concepts from any inspiration, she finds herself often inspired by the beauty and intricacy of architecture and nature.
