Amanda Fondow

2013 M.A. Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling Candidate

Amanda M. Fondow is a recent 2013 graduate of Columbia College Chicago's Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling program. She has experience working with survivors of traumatic brain injuries, older adult population, children, and adolescents. Amanda has recently completed her research on understanding the difference between therapy and therapeutic roles and interventions through a dance/movement therapy lens. Amanda completed her undergraduate work at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay with a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and a minor in Dance. She was a member of the Phoenix Pride Dance Team and was involved with the Phuture Phoenix Program. Amanda's previous classical dance training includes Academe De La Dance, Green Bay School of Dance, and a summer intensive with Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. Amanda has experience teaching ballet, modern, tap, jazz, and pointe to all skill leves and ages. She also has performed with dance teams at NFL and Bowl games and has been a member of national award winning teams.
